in the Hospital, facility or home
The Jewish community has lots of people in it today who don't belong to a synagogue or know a rabbi to call for a visit and a blessing when they are ill, home-bound or on hospice. The Community Rabbis are spiritual care professionals available to help with the spiritual part of healing. We consult with patients and families to determine what tools might bring comfort to their soul. Friendly counseling designed to uplift the spirit is the most common tool, but a visit also may incorporate song, prayer, Jewish teachings, meditation, story telling and more.
